MOLOKAI--AHHHH!!!
Aloha- Welcome to Molokai!
We hope you have a relaxing and adventurous time here on the island and in our home.
Feel free to use our home as you would yours. The people who live around our house live here full time. Molokai residents tend to rise early and go to bed early. For this reason, please keep noise levels low after 8pm.
As you probably notice, the island is made up of of red dirt. After spending the day at the beach, there are outdoor showers to the right of the garage and around back. Please use these to rinse off before entering.
Your rooms should be clean and ready to use. If there are any questions, or problems, feel free to let us know.
Supplies
Beach towels and extra linens are located in the bedroom closets and in the bathroom closet on the main level.
Bikes, kayaks, snorkel gear and pool lounge chairs are in the garage. Please rinse anything that goes in salt water with fresh hose water after each use.
Pool Instructions
Scott, the pool man arrives every Monday. If you have any questions give us a call at 907-351-1441. The filter is set to run 9am-5pm. The vacuum is usually hooked up during this time. You may disconnect it while swimming, but please hook it back up when finished. It will give you a cleaner pool. Please remove all pool toys from pool when not in use.
Rooms- There are four bedrooms. The two back bedrooms are good for families as they have a large closet that can be used as a second space for toddlers and infants. There are two air mattresses and one pack n play in each back closet for them to sleep near their parents. Upstairs are more bunks for extra guests.
Kitchen: Garbage cans are located in the kitchen cupboards.
The refridgerator has two ice makers...a small one in the upper section as well as a larger one in the bottom freezer. Water and ice cannot be dispensed when the doors are open.
Fans: There is an operators guide in this book for use of fans.
Furniture: Please sit on furniture in dry clothing only.
TV: The remote on the mirror in the living room brings the tv out of the cabinet. The remotes to the smart tv are located inside.
Garbage Instructions
We do not have garbage pick up. Any garbage left will have to be taken to the landfill by the housekeeper. For this reason, we ask that you keep your garbage to a minimum. If possible, please take some of your garbage to the landfill some time during your stay. It is free!
The landfill is located on the Maunaloa highway towards the airport on the left. Their hours of operation are Tuesday-Saturday 8am to 2:30pm They are closed Sundays and Mondays. As you approach the office, pull up and they will wave you through. Follow the signs and there are usually friendly people who will help you unload. Thank you.
